Bigcool sees 25% eCPM uplift with AdMob platform

Bigcool, a Chinese casual games developer, wanted to boost ad revenue without compromising the high‑quality player experience they prioritize. After finding their in‑house mediation platform labor‑intensive and underperforming, Bigcool turned to Google AdMob, testing AdMob mediation, adaptive banners, and AdMob bidding to find a solution that preserved UX while improving monetization.

Using Google AdMob’s mediation, adaptive banners and bidding, Bigcool ran staged experiments (adaptive banners on Bubble Shooter Genies with 1.8M MAU rolled out to 30% of Android users for 20 days, and a 50% Android A/B test for bidding), then fully rolled out successful changes. The result was a 25% uplift in banner eCPM and a 23% increase in banner ad revenue, higher ARPU with stable retention, faster ad load times and broader integration of AdMob across their games.
