Etermax, the Buenos Aires–based developer behind Trivia Crack, needed to scale globally while keeping the app free, fun and locally relevant—and to monetize without degrading the user experience. To achieve this, Etermax turned to Google AdMob to deliver ad-based revenue while preserving gameplay.
Using Google AdMob’s banner and interstitial formats (and translating the game into 11 languages), Etermax achieved top fill rates from a global pool of advertisers, boosting earnings by nearly 50% and generating roughly 50% of total revenue from ads. The combined strategy helped Trivia Crack grow to 125 million+ users across 22 countries, with about 800,000 daily downloads worldwide.
