Adaric Music boosts app performance with user experience enhancements

Adaric Music, a Shanghai-based game developer behind the music game “Piano Fire,” wanted to improve user engagement, retention, and ad monetization as it looked for new growth opportunities. The company had been using Google AdMob for ad mediation since 2018 and turned to Google for help optimizing the app’s user experience and in-app advertising.

Working with Google AdMob’s UX consulting team, Adaric Music tested onboarding, engagement, retention, and rewarded-ad improvements across “Piano Fire,” including a simplified tutorial flow, a better-timed “Rate App” prompt, new event and leaderboard features, and reward-driven ad tweaks. Google AdMob helped deliver measurable gains: new user ARPU increased 10%, average session time rose 10%, day 1 retention improved by 5 percentage points, the first-challenge success rate increased 25%, rewarded ads frequency per DAU rose 10%, and the Spin Wheel opt-in rate jumped 10x.
