Raising $3.9M to Support Veterans with Facebook Fundraising

Stop Soldier Suicide, a nonprofit founded by U.S. Army veterans, needed a new way to sustain and grow Facebook-driven fundraising during the uncertainty of the pandemic while working toward its goal of reducing military suicide. To meet that challenge, the organization partnered with GoodUnited, using Facebook Groups, lead ads, fundraisers, and Messenger to engage supporters and keep donations flowing.

GoodUnited helped Stop Soldier Suicide launch local 100-mile challenges across the U.S., with custom Messenger journeys for registration, fundraising, milestone tracking, rewards, and participant updates. The effort raised $3.9 million year to date, drove more than 100,000 donations, created 29,000+ Facebook fundraisers, captured about 43,000 emails, and increased fundraiser revenue by 339% year over year, while also reaching more than a quarter-million donors and generating strong participant satisfaction.
