AWS, the cloud computing division of Amazon, sought to virtually engage its globally dispersed Strategic Industries employees during its Joy of Giving week. The key challenge was delivering a consistent, high-quality volunteering experience for participants across multiple time zones, from Europe to Asia. They partnered with the vendor Goodera for this initiative.

Goodera provided an end-to-end virtual volunteering solution, managing nonprofit discovery, activity selection, and event execution over five consecutive days. The results were highly successful: over 150 employee volunteers from 10+ countries participated, impacting more than 1,180 beneficiaries. The program received outstanding feedback, with employees giving Goodera nearly perfect ratings for the host, overall experience, and activities.
