Open Universities Australia (OUA) is a leading provider of online higher education that wanted to close a gap in learning analytics for its own platforms and for partner institutions. Faced with the need for real‑time, actionable student insights that were easy for non‑technical users to adopt, could integrate with existing LMSs, and be brought to market quickly as a white‑label offering, OUA chose not to build internally.
Partnering with GoodData, OUA launched a Learning Analytics product that delivers dashboards for enrollments, engagement and collaboration at institutional and teacher levels, and can be embedded into existing systems. After a successful pilot, the solution improved customer satisfaction and usability, gave OUA greater control in scaling and deploying a multi‑tenant product, and opened new markets by letting universities extend ROI from their LMS without replacing it.
