Case Study: Westpac boosts matching-gifts impact and streamlines administration with Good2Give

A Good2Give Case Study

Preview of the Westpac Case Study

Westpac - Customer Case Study

Westpac, one of Australia’s largest banks with around 40,000 employees, runs a long-standing Matching Gifts program that matches employee donations dollar-for-dollar. As participation grew (over 50% of employees and more than 20,000 annual participants), managing payroll and post-tax matching, reporting and charity due diligence became a heavy administrative burden. To address this, Westpac partnered with Good2Give and adopted Good2Give’s Workplace Giving Platform and managed payroll-giving services.

Good2Give streamlined Westpac’s processes by centralising donations, automating reporting and charity checks, and building out post-tax matching administration. The result was faster processing, clearer historical views for employees and charities, reduced internal administration for Westpac staff, and a “significantly improved employee and charity experience.” The program scale remains substantial—around $5.6 million donated to ~700 charities each year, with examples like $320,000 matched to a single team event in 2017—demonstrating measurable impact after implementing Good2Give’s solution.
