Case Study: Australian Sports Foundation achieves record fundraising and boosts workplace giving with Good2Give

A Good2Give Case Study

Preview of the Australian Sports Foundation Case Study

The impact of workplace giving for the ASF

The Australian Sports Foundation (ASF) has for more than 30 years helped clubs, community groups and athletes fundraise and in 2016–17 achieved a record $44.75M raised, supporting 2,328 projects across 1,149 organisations and 179 athletes. Despite this success, workplace giving remained in its infancy for the Foundation (just $134K in 2016–17), so ASF looked to grow workplace giving as a major new revenue channel and engaged Good2Give’s workplace giving service.

Good2Give implemented its workplace giving service to make it easier for supporters and corporate partners to give via payroll and workplace programs. While still early in the journey, the partnership delivered $134K in workplace donations in 2016–17 as part of more than $10M in corporate contributions, helping sustain ASF’s fundraising momentum — including strong support for grassroots clubs (about 61% of donations) — and positioning Good2Give to help scale workplace giving further.
