Services Enviro-Mart, Inc., a soil and underground water decontamination company in Quebec, Canada, needed a way to map contamination at remediation sites more effectively. Working with Golden Software, the company used Voxler’s 3D modeling and visualization tools to analyze soil samples and better understand the extent of petroleum hydrocarbon contamination beneath an apartment building’s heating room.

Golden Software’s Voxler helped Enviro-Mart model the contamination plume, plan remediation, and visualize bedrock and sampling data throughout the project. After 20 weeks of Cool-Ox injections, petroleum hydrocarbons were reduced from above C levels (3,500 ppm) to A-B levels (500 ppm), and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons dropped from above B levels (1.7 ppm) to undetectable amounts (<0.1 ppm), significantly improving the site’s environmental condition.
