A Goldbeck Solar GmbH Case Study
HVC, a Dutch energy company, faced the challenge of implementing a large-scale solar park that would efficiently use existing infrastructure and be optimally embedded within the regional landscape along the Noordermeerdijk dyke. The project required careful construction planning to account for geometric specifications, natural conditions, and proximity to wind turbines. Goldbeck Solar GmbH was selected to deliver a solution for this significant energy transition project.
Goldbeck Solar implemented a 98 MWp solar park comprising over 161,000 bifacial modules. A key innovative aspect was the use of cable pooling to share an existing grid connection with a neighboring project, eliminating the need for additional grid expansion. The solution, which was harmoniously integrated into the landscape, generates approximately 93,000 MWh of clean energy per year. This is enough to supply 37,000 households and saves an estimated 40,000 tons of CO₂ emissions annually. The project by Goldbeck Solar also featured strong local participation, with eleven property owners involved and proceeds supporting a regional sustainability fund.
