High School District - Customer Case Study

Highline Public Schools, a K–12 district in King County with 32 schools, 22,000+ students and devices, needed a way to manage a district-wide 1:1 Chromebook initiative across five cities and get the most from its edtech investments. CTO Mark Finstrom selected GoGuardian, using GoGuardian’s Chromebook monitoring software/GoGuardian Admin to monitor devices, separate organizational units, and track student activity both in and out of school.

GoGuardian delivered district-level and OU-level real-time and historical reporting, granular engagement analytics, and controls that identified high- and low-performing apps, improved online safety, and streamlined device management. As a result, Highline accelerated its 1:1 rollout, made devices more manageable, and gained measurable insights—reporting 2% time off-task, 12% time on YouTube and 31% time on G‑Suite—helping the district optimize technology spending and classroom impact with GoGuardian.
