Downey Unified School District - Customer Case Study

Downey Unified School District (Downey USD), a California K–12 district of 20 schools serving about 22,000 students and managing roughly 10,000 devices, struggled with low device adoption and teacher anxiety around classroom technology. To address this, Downey USD adopted GoGuardian Teacher on Windows from GoGuardian to provide a cross-platform, Microsoft-compatible classroom management solution that teachers could see and use confidently.

GoGuardian Teacher let teachers manage classrooms across devices and browsers (including OneNote and Edge), reclaim valuable instructional time, reduce distractions, and boost student engagement and access to technology for all stakeholders. By deploying GoGuardian, the district streamlined its 1:1 program management, empowered teachers to use technology safely and productively, and reported measurable gains in instructional time and student on-task behavior.
