Case Study: Condé Nast Digital Germany lowers TCO and gains scalable, secure content delivery with GoGrid

A GoGrid Case Study

Preview of the Condé Nast Case Study

Condé Nast Digital Germany uses GoGrid to deliver content - securely, flexibly, and inexpensively

Condé Nast Digital Germany, which runs the German web presences for VOGUE, GQ and GLAMOUR, faced rising hosting costs, limited control over infrastructure and security concerns — problems that were exposed by sudden traffic spikes and month-long server lease minimums. Reliant on ad revenue and high site quality, the company needed a solution that preserved its CMS and met strict German data-security requirements without large capital outlays.

Condé Nast moved to GoGrid’s hybrid IaaS, combining cloud servers for web and community layers with dedicated machines for MySQL and storage, plus load balancers and testing environments. The result was fast, on-demand scaling, improved security and uptime (from 99.8% to 99.9%), retirement of many external servers, significantly lower TCO, and more time to focus on feature development and mobile delivery.
