A GoGrid Case Study
Brilig, founded in 2009, runs a cooperative data marketplace that de‑silos thousands of consumer databases into more than 7,500 audience segments for online display advertising. Because its business depends on massive Hadoop processing, Brilig needed a high‑performance, cost‑effective infrastructure—its initial fully virtualized IaaS caused read/write bandwidth contention, slow ad serving and rising costs.
Brilig moved to GoGrid’s hybrid cloud, using dedicated hardware for Hadoop and virtual servers for application and database tiers, and worked with GoGrid to size capacity. The result: big‑data processing up to four times faster, infrastructure costs cut by about 50%, the ability to handle 300M+ requests per day with 99% of queries under 3 ms, support for rapid growth, and the flexibility to lower customer fees and attract more co‑op members.
