How Gordon College’s peer-to-peer fundraiser raised $40k above its stretch goal

Gordon College, a religious liberal arts school, needed a peer-to-peer fundraising tool to support its annual student-athlete competition, Clash of the Tartans. Their challenge was finding a solution that was compatible with multiple payment options and could facilitate a collaborative effort between their athletics and Advancement departments.

The solution was implemented using GoFundMe Pro's peer-to-peer fundraising tool and GoFundMe Pro Pay. For their 2022 event, 271 student-athletes created individual pages, resulting in 2,538 transactions and an average donation of $97.90. This effort raised $240,000, which was $40,000 above their stretch goal, with all funds going directly back into their athletics programs.
