Shriners Children’s exceeds event fundraising expectations with Live Events

Shriners Hospitals for Children, a healthcare system providing care to children regardless of ability to pay, faced the challenge of planning and executing a large-scale centennial celebration event. They partnered with vendor GoFundMe Pro and utilized their Live Events product to host this once-in-a-century fundraising and commemorative occasion.

Using GoFundMe Pro's Live Events software, Shriners hosted a hybrid event with both in-person and virtual curated experiences, including auctions and a concert. The event was executed successfully, and GoFundMe Pro's solution enabled them to raise $1.6 million from the event, which involved 700 in-person and 750 virtual attendees. This result provided significant funds to support the organization's mission for the next century.
