Brooklyn Public Library raises over $77k on GoFundMe Pro in one year to fund Books Unbanned program

The Brooklyn Public Library, a major public library system, faced the challenge of funding its Books Unbanned program, which provides teens nationwide with access to a wide range of digital books amidst growing censorship attempts. To support this initiative and inspire targeted donations, they turned to the vendor GoFundMe Pro and its comprehensive fundraising suite.

Using GoFundMe Pro, the library created a dedicated, branded donation page and implemented an inline embedded donation form to streamline the giving process. This solution enabled them to effectively connect with a national and international audience of supporters. As a result, they raised over $77,000 in one year specifically through GoFundMe Pro, contributing to a total of over $226,000 raised for the program, which has granted e-library cards to over 6,000 teens from all 50 states.
