Espar Climate Control Systems
Eberspacher (Espar Climate Control Systems) supplies fuel-operated heaters for the transportation industry and needed a way to activate those heaters before a vehicle was started so drivers could enter a preheated or precooled cabin. To solve this remote-activation challenge they partnered with GoFleet, using Geotab hardware (GO7/GO9 devices) and the IOX-OUTPUT cable integrated with the MyGeotab platform to send commands to the heaters from any device.
GoFleet implemented the solution by installing Geotab devices in the fleet and connecting them to Eberspacher’s signature heating systems via the IOX-OUTPUT cable, enabling remote heater control through the MyGeotab database. The result was immediate—drivers can now preheat or precool vehicles from any distance, ensuring comfortable cabins at trip start and end and improving overall driver comfort across weather conditions.
