A Godfrey Dadich Case Study
The Museum of Arts and Design (MAD) faced the challenge of showcasing its Burke Prize exhibit online during the COVID-19 pandemic, as a traditional in-person gala was not feasible. They partnered with Godfrey Dadich Partners to create a digital version of the exhibit that could do justice to the artists' work in natural materials like glass and fiber, which require more than a simple JPEG to be appreciated.
Godfrey Dadich Partners developed an interactive website featuring artist profiles, videos, and augmented reality experiences. Using photogrammetry, they created 3D representations of sculptural works, allowing online viewers to rotate and inspect the art. The solution was highly successful; the museum was "ecstatic" and the site went on to win the Museum Association of New York's Excellence in Design Award in 2022 for reimagining the exhibition experience for a digital audience.
