Bord na Mona’s Edenderry Power Plant, which runs 24/7 and hosts a constant flow of local and foreign contract workers (especially during three annual maintenance shutdowns), needed a way to efficiently induct non‑English speakers, verify identities and qualifications, and reduce time spent on-site in classroom orientations. To solve this, they adopted GoContractor’s online orientation platform, including its Identity Capture feature, to manage pre-site inductions and multilingual training.

Using GoContractor, Bord na Mona shifted all inductions to the platform so orientations are completed before workers arrive, eliminating the previous 3–4 hours per day spent on classroom sessions, enabling document upload for pre-verification of qualifications, and allowing language-specific settings instead of on-site interpreters. The result: faster, more reliable workforce onboarding, accurate daily verification of who is on site, and freed Health & Safety resources to focus on site inspections and other safety activities.
