Hammer Down, a Houston-based oilfield services company with a distributed workforce across five shops and numerous field locations, faced a slow, paper-driven hiring and onboarding process that relied on scanning and emailing documents and often took days to complete. To unify hiring, onboarding, payroll, and benefits administration, Hammer Down partnered with GoCo and adopted GoCo’s HR platform.
With GoCo’s platform centralizing new-hire paperwork, payroll, and benefits enrollment—and importing employee data and coordinating with insurers—Hammer Down completed its system conversion in about two weeks. The result: a one-person HR team onboarded more than 100 employees in months, onboarding time dropped to roughly 10 minutes per hire, paper and email back-and-forth were eliminated, and the company gained the scalability and improved user experience it needed.
