How Partnering with Goalbook Has Improved Teacher Practice and Student Outcomes at Molalla River School District

Molalla River School District partnered with Goalbook when Director of Special Education Michael Salitore found inconsistency in how specialists and related service providers were implementing individualized education plans and supporting student goals. The district also wanted to strengthen its district-wide focus on Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and improve the overall quality of instructional design for students with special needs.

Using Goalbook Toolkit, including the Anchor Page feature and Strategy Wizard, Molalla River School District built more rigorous, standards-aligned learning plans with incremental targets, assessments, and research-based UDL strategies. The result was better alignment across special education teams, improved instructional efficacy, and stronger support for all students through more creative, barrier-aware instruction; while the case study does not provide numeric metrics, Goalbook was credited with helping teachers write better IEPs and expand their instructional capacity.
