At Camino Nuevo, Goalbook Pathways Supports High Expectations for Students and Teachers Alike

Camino Nuevo Charter Academy in Los Angeles wanted to raise expectations for all students while helping general and special education teachers better support diverse learners. After initially using Goalbook Toolkit to design standards-based, rigorous instruction for students with disabilities, the school expanded its focus schoolwide with Goalbook Pathways.

Goalbook Pathways provided scaffolded instructional activities, varied assessment items aligned to standards and Webb’s Depth of Knowledge, and UDL-based supports to help teachers plan for diverse learning needs. As a result, teachers reported greater confidence, stronger cross-team collaboration, and more actionable support for meeting student needs, though the case study did not cite a quantitative impact.
