James Hardie, a global leader in fibre cement building products, needed a more scalable and sustainable way to manage learning across its 5,000-employee workforce, including 1,200 staff in APAC. Its old LMS was outdated, costly to reimplement, and unable to support standardised compliance, EHS, leadership, sales capability, and especially a tailored digital assessment process for manufacturing plants. Go1 was selected as the learning platform to help address these challenges.
Go1 helped James Hardie replace paper-based assessments and Excel tracking with a digital workflow using online forms, Zapier automations, and Go1 as the central repository for training records. This enabled real-time visibility of assessment status, training gaps, and expiring accreditations, making the business more audit-ready and responsive. Go1 also helped James Hardie significantly improve the quality, engagement, and completion of compliance and safety training, while rolling out regional leadership development and safety induction programs.
