Stirling Council implements centralised community engagement

Stirling Council, serving around 94,000 residents in central Scotland, needed a better way to gather community input when COVID-19 halted in-person engagement. The council’s digital team wanted a single, easy-to-use place for consultations and petitions, and chose Go Vocal’s community engagement platform powered by CitizenLab to replace fragmented surveys, emails, meetings, and leaflets.

Go Vocal helped Stirling Council create a centralized engagement hub where consultations and petitions could sit side by side, improve internal workflows, and add feedback loops to every project. The result was a more efficient process, clearer communication with residents, and stronger participation: two community-led petitions were advanced for full Council consideration, while the council also improved transparency and reduced confusion by giving citizens one place to view all open projects.
