Rijswijk maps 75 resident ideas with Go Vocal to design Hof van Sion

The municipality of Rijswijk faced the challenge of designing a new community meeting place in its Hof van Sion area that would reflect the diverse and sometimes conflicting needs of its residents. To navigate these different priorities, Rijswijk utilized an interactive map on its Go Vocal-powered participation platform to gather location-specific ideas from the community.

Using the Go Vocal platform, residents submitted 75 ideas via an interactive map, providing the foundation for two distinct design plans. This process allowed the community to be involved from start to finish, contributing ideas, commenting on designs, and ultimately voting for a favorite. The solution successfully led to a final, community-informed design for the public space, with the winning option receiving 73 out of 88 votes.
