A Go Vocal Case Study

Preview of the City of Seattle Case Study

Putting inclusion at the heart of Seattle's comprehensive plan

The City of Seattle’s Office of Planning and Community Development needed a better way to engage residents in creating an inclusive, equitable, long-range comprehensive plan. Traditional methods were no longer reaching enough people, especially historically underrepresented communities, so Seattle turned to Go Vocal and its online community engagement platform to centralize information, feedback, and outreach.

Go Vocal helped Seattle launch the One Seattle Engagement Hub, a multilingual digital platform for surveys, documents, comments, and project updates across multiple planning phases. The results included 1,930 registered users, 2,348 survey participants, more than 18,000 page views, 1,258 translation requests across seven languages, and over 1,000 comments in later phases, helping Seattle identify housing, transportation, and climate as top community priorities while strengthening transparency and equity-focused engagement.
