A Go Vocal Case Study

Preview of the Borough of Carlisle Case Study

Carlisle develops an engagement platform to revamp public spaces

The Borough of Carlisle, a municipality in Pennsylvania, faced the challenge of moving away from unfiltered social media commentary to gather constructive public feedback for redesigning two new public spaces. They sought a more official and transparent platform to facilitate this community engagement and turned to the vendor Go Vocal for their solution, the CitizenLab platform.

Go Vocal's platform enabled Carlisle to co-create options for the parks using features like surveys and an Option Analysis tool, which gathered thoughtful input from nearly 700 registered users. This process resulted in strong community consensus and support for the designs, successfully setting new expectations for constructive dialogue and increasing transparency in government operations. The vendor's tools were instrumental in transforming the development opportunity into inclusive community spaces.
