Conformis launches a React Native mobile app with Gnar to put surgical iViews in surgeons’ hands

Conformis, a manufacturer of customized knee and hip replacements, needed to provide on-the-go surgeons with mobile access to their surgical plans (iViews), which were previously only available on desktop. The company faced challenges concerning the cost and complexity of building separate native apps for iOS and Android while ensuring brand consistency and HIPAA compliance. They partnered with Gnar to address this challenge.

Gnar built a React Native mobile app, which allowed for a single codebase to serve both major platforms. The solution included a secure integration with Conformis's internal platform for authentication and access to iViews. The resulting app allows surgeons to review surgical plans from anywhere and also serves as a business development tool by providing content to non-Conformis surgeons. Gnar successfully delivered the app and published it to the Apple App and Google Play stores.
