Budlex launches resident app in 48h estimates with GMI

Budlex, a Polish property developer, faced challenges integrating IoT hardware with a mobile app for residents to monitor utility usage. The hardware vendor's promised real-time data capability did not exist, and the data received was unstructured and full of errors. GMI was brought in as the technology partner to overcome these obstacles and deliver the promised application.

GMI implemented a dedicated data integrator to parse the raw, daily meter readings and built native Android and iOS apps. Despite initial data currency issues, the project was reframed to include usage forecasting. The app successfully launched, increasing resident loyalty and later evolving into a sales tool for prospective buyers. As a result, GMI delivered a valuable product that enhanced the customer experience without being a direct revenue generator.
