Case Study: Biometric Authentication Service Provider achieves unified cloud biometric infrastructure and seamless multi-vendor integration with Globant

The core identification and authentication service for an important Bank

Biometric Authentication Service Provider needed a cloud platform to centralize biometric identification and authentication used across multiple bank applications — changing external providers or adding custom logic was complex and costly. Globant was engaged to address this challenge and recommended a cloud-native solution using AWS technologies (EKS, ECR, CloudWatch, KMS, AWS Secrets Manager), infrastructure-as-code, and CICD to enable reusable, secure access from different sources.

Globant implemented the platform on AWS EKS with automated container pipelines, comprehensive monitoring, encryption, and secrets management; deployments were managed via infrastructure-as-code and CICD. As a result, the customer unified biometric authentication for internal and external applications, integrated at least two external products with no disruption, and delivered one of the bank’s first cloud projects — unlocking cloud adoption for future initiatives and demonstrating measurable operational consolidation and reduced vendor friction.
