Leading Security Service Provider engaged Globant to strengthen its cloud security and protect against rising threats like DDoS across its AWS environment. The customer needed to secure their cloud provider, applications, transactions and internal user activity to prevent service interruptions and protect payment and tracking systems. Globant applied AWS-focused controls and services (IAM roles and MFA, CloudTrail, S3 for logs, Security Hub, AWS Config, GuardDuty, WAF & Shield, API Gateway, ALB and web ACLs) and integrated Wazuh as a SIEM.

Globant executed a Well-Architected security review and implemented the roadmap and controls, plus 24/7 cybersec operations, dashboards, runbooks and proactive remediation processes. The result: a 95% reduction in DDoS disruptions, 90% mitigation of resource overflow consumption, and 100% improvements in tracking and alerting for administrative actions, failed logins and resource activity, along with increased policy-compliance alerts, daily SIEM metrics and a 90% rise in proactive remediation.
