Preview of the Major Airline Company Case Study

Major Airline Chooses Globant to Help with Revenue Management

Major Airline Company turned to Globant to address a critical revenue management challenge: pricing decisions were driven by complex analytics but presented through antiquated Excel pivot tables, leading to about a year-long analyst ramp-up, high attrition, and slow, error-prone decision-making. Globant was engaged to design a modern revenue-management front end, drawing on its big data, user experience and design studios and introducing an agile team approach.

Globant ran a discovery phase, delivered rapid prototypes and deployed cross-functional agile teams to build an accessible front end that sped onboarding, eased business–IT tensions, and improved pricing decisions. The new system materially increased operational efficiency and analyst retention and enabled better per-seat pricing—illustrated in the case by an example where modest per-seat price gains raised revenue for a 100-seat flight from $42,500 to $68,000—demonstrating the large-scale revenue impact Globant’s solution can deliver.
