Leading Pharmaceutical Company faced complex, interdependent manufacturing processes where inaccurate timelines and wait times between batches caused planning delays. To improve scheduling and ensure a consistent supply of medicines, the company engaged Globant — specifically Globant’s Data and AI Studio — to provide AI and machine learning expertise and build a robust data pipeline that would ingest and standardize ERP data from two production facilities.

Globant formed a blended team, cleaned and unified ERP data, and developed four machine learning models (working with AWS to deploy the first set) that predict step and batch durations and inter-step wait times. The initial models are live at both production sites and accessible via a planner UI, delivering measurable improvements in process visibility and scheduling: planners can optimize workflows, avoid unexpected delays, and help ensure medicines reach pharmacies and patients on time.
