Empowering entrepreneurs with Nando

InterBank, one of Peru’s leading financial institutions focused on improving digital service experiences, needed a way to help small entrepreneurs stay in control of daily operations and finances while they pushed for growth. To address this, InterBank introduced Nando — a mobile platform developed with Globant (leveraging Google Cloud Platform) — to give business owners a trusted tool for managing orders, deliveries and payments.

Globant delivered Nando as a mobile app that provides a calendar view of sales orders, delivery and payment status, automated reminders, and expense tracking with receipt photos; the backend was built on GCP using App Engine, Datastore, Memcached, Firebase and SendGrid to ensure availability, reliability and security. The solution allowed InterBank to have a market-ready application tested with real users in five weeks, giving entrepreneurs clearer income/expense visibility and reducing the risk of lost orders.
