Argentinian Retail Holding Company needed to build a cybersecurity department from scratch — including a strategy with budget forecasting, a migration plan, and the cloud migration of 100+ applications — while contending with a reduced team and skills and a requirement for an AWS-based multi-cloud solution. Globant was engaged to lead the effort, leveraging AWS technologies such as Amazon EKS (Kubernetes).

Globant developed the cybersecurity strategy and posture, partnered with AWS, and migrated 100+ applications onto an AWS EKS microservices platform; they implemented endpoint protection, cloud security modules, enforced security controls across business units, improved the PoS for PCI‑DSS compliance, and automated user provisioning in ERP and retail systems. As a result, Globant helped the customer establish a cybersecurity team and program, secure multi-cloud operations, support steady growth to ~100 stores, and operate across four work facilities.
