Lebanese Red Cross deploys 125 SPOT Gen3 devices with Globalstar to protect remote volunteers

The Lebanese Red Cross, the sole provider of emergency medical services in Lebanon, sought to enhance the safety of its volunteers operating in remote and difficult environments across the country. To address this challenge, they partnered with vendor Globalstar to deploy their SPOT Gen3 safety devices.

The solution from Globalstar provided 125 handheld SPOT Gen3 devices, which use the Globalstar satellite network to allow volunteers to send their coordinates and trigger an SOS alert with a single button press. Managers can track the location of their teams in real-time using the SPOT app and Google Maps. This implementation by Globalstar gives the organization reassurance that their teams are safe and enables a quick response to life-threatening situations.
