KNB reduces certificate renewal from days to seconds with GlobalSign

The customer, KNB, a legal organization in the Netherlands, faced a challenge securing access to its platform of sensitive information for over 1,500 notary offices. Traditional login methods were insufficient, and managing individual digital certificates for multi-factor authentication created a significant IT workload. They partnered with vendor GlobalSign and their system integrator, Avisi, to find a solution.

The solution implemented used GlobalSign certificates and APIs to automate the certificate lifecycle. Avisi built a custom self-service application within the KNB platform, allowing notaries to renew their certificates in seconds. This resulted in a dramatic time savings, reducing a process that took days to mere seconds, and significantly minimized the workload for the KNB Helpdesk.
