Belfast City Airport needed to transition to a more strategic, proactive security approach to secure remote access for employees and off-site services while managing digital certificates for internal machines. Facing numerous monthly cyber attacks, the airport required a solution to simplify its infrastructure and provide flexible access management. GlobalSign implemented its Auto Enrollment Gateway (AEG) to automate PKI management and provided a custom Certificate Authority for internal certificates. This solution streamlined certificate deployment by integrating with the airport's existing Active Directory. The partnership with GlobalSign helped Belfast City Airport significantly improve efficiency and security, which contributed to a broader IT simplification effort that reduced their IT budget by a quarter of a million euros.
