Gaz Electricité De Grenoble Adopts Globalsign’s Solution for Adobe to Allow Compliant Signature of Electronic Invoices

Gaz Electricité de Grenoble (GEG) needed to transition 5,000 annual invoices to a compliant electronic format to meet new EU legislation. The challenge was to ensure high security, guarantee authenticity and integrity, and implement a solution that was easy to adopt without additional training or significant support costs for themselves or their customers. They turned to GlobalSign to implement its PDF Signing for Adobe CDS solution.

GlobalSign’s solution provided GEG with a digital certificate for its invoicing department, allowing them to apply trusted signatures to PDF invoices using a secure USB token. The signatures are instantly validated in Adobe Reader without warnings for their customers, ensuring a transparent experience. The solution, which includes RFC 3161-compliant timestamping for long-term archiving, successfully allowed GEG to streamline its workflow, ensure full compliance with EU directives, and improve security for all stakeholders.
