US Army Relies on Globalscape® to Protect Critical Data Globalscape’s Secure Information Exchange Solutions Protect Mission-Critical Data

The US Army needed to secure transfers of mission-critical logistics and maintenance data within its Standard Army Management Information System (STAMIS), which sends more than a billion requisitions valued at over $68 billion annually across unclassified networks. Facing heavy cyber-threats and strict Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) requirements, the US Army turned to Globalscape—using its secure information exchange solutions, including Enhanced File Transfer (EFT) and CuteFTP—to protect data without adding end-user training or workload.

Globalscape integrated its technology via APIs into STAMIS client and server components, using industry-standard secure protocols (SSL, SSH/SFTP), and earned the Army Certificate of Networthiness and support for FIPS 140-2 compliance. The Globalscape deployment enabled secure global delivery of the Army’s mission-critical requisitions, provided auditing and reporting, ongoing updates, and reduced development and sustainment time and cost while protecting the one-billion-plus annual requisitions (>$68B) handled by STAMIS.
