PeaceHealth Uses Globalscape Solution to Secure Digitalized Healthcare Records

PeaceHealth Medical Group, a non-profit healthcare system with nine hospitals, faced the challenge of securing sensitive patient records, consolidating multiple disparate file-transfer systems, and meeting HIPAA/HITECH compliance requirements. To balance visibility and privacy while keeping workflows usable, PeaceHealth selected Globalscape and its Enhanced File Transfer (EFT) platform as the file-transfer solution.

Globalscape implemented EFT with the Auditing and Reporting Module, PGP and High Security modules (FIPS 140-2 validated), the Advanced Workflow Engine, and the DMZ Gateway to proxy internal processes. The deployment consolidated disparate transfer methods, provided auditable transaction logs for easier compliance reporting, automated routine transfers to free IT time, and enabled secure delivery of lab results — demonstrating improved security and streamlined operations using Globalscape.
