Well, Well — the UK’s largest independent pharmacy with nearly 800 retail locations and 7,000 employees — needed to replace a patchwork of file-integration protocols inherited after acquisition and to secure and simplify automated and manual transfers for critical financial data. To meet that need, Well evaluated and selected Globalscape’s Enhanced File Transfer (EFT) Enterprise solution (with partner Pro2col) to provide a single, centralized, secure platform for file transfer, automation, auditing and reporting.

Working with Pro2col, Globalscape deployed EFT Enterprise with the Advanced Workflow Engine (AWE) and Auditing and Reporting Module (ARM), automating workflows (including polling every 30 seconds, XML→plain-text transformations and two-minute receipt notifications), centralizing archives and adding real-time diagnostics. The implementation eliminated manual coding, reduced fraud risk on financial transfers, sped troubleshooting, saved significant IT time and now supports Well’s 300–3,000 daily file transfers with capacity to grow — all delivered without disruption to business operations.
