A Globalscape Case Study
Randolph-Brooks Federal Credit Union (RBFCU), a top‑25 credit union serving more than 450,000 members with over $6 billion in assets, needed a simpler, secure way to send sensitive files both internally and to external vendors. Their legacy, endpoint‑centric approach lacked visibility, required manual retransfers, offered no easy receipt verification, and couldn’t reliably handle 20–50 MB files by email. RBFCU selected Globalscape, deploying Enhanced File Transfer (EFT) for system‑to‑system needs and Mail Express for ad‑hoc, Outlook‑integrated person‑to‑person sharing.
Globalscape implemented EFT to provide automation, transparency, and administrator monitoring, while Mail Express reduced end‑user training and FTP/mail‑server management. The solution enabled real‑time transfer monitoring, simple provisioning of third‑party accounts, reliable handling of large (20–50 MB) files, and immediate reductions in manual retransfers and administrative workload. RBFCU also benefited from Globalscape’s responsive support and a faster, more controlled file‑transfer process across the organization.
