Qualcomm, facing rising demands for stronger mobile security and needing a compelling demo of its new ultrasonic fingerprint technology, engaged GlobalLogic to build a prototype application for Snapdragon Sense ID. The challenge was to quickly show how the 3D ultrasonic sensor could provide robust, hard-to-spoof authentication for real-world scenarios such as secure healthcare access.

GlobalLogic designed, developed and integrated an Android prototype that incorporated the Snapdragon Sense ID sensor and SDK, FIDO Alliance UAF support, and encrypted NFC to transmit confidential data to a physician assistant’s terminal. Delivered on an aggressive timeline, GlobalLogic rapidly prototyped and remotely tested end-to-end interactions, enabling Qualcomm to successfully demonstrate Snapdragon Sense ID at Mobile World Congress and showcase measurable progress toward secure patient access, online transactions, and improved remote-care workflows.
