Methven China, a medium-sized industrial manufacturer running Microsoft Dynamics AX, faced slow, fragmented reporting — difficulty producing timely reports, limitations of Management Reporter and Excel add-ins, and a lack of user templates. Seeking an alternative to traditional BI tools, they evaluated options and selected Global Software’s Atlas to improve their reporting processes.

Using Atlas’s Excel-based access to live ERP data, Methven eliminated disparate static spreadsheets, expanded reporting beyond the GL (manufacturing, sales, inventory, projects, procurement, etc.), and enabled direct data uploads from Excel. The change streamlined data extraction, month-end and management reporting, improved data validation and analysis, and delivered roughly 50–100 hours saved across the organization in one year.
