Export Development Canada, a small financial services firm running Microsoft Dynamics AX, faced slow, error-prone reporting that required rekeying data into spreadsheets, heavy reliance on IT for report edits, and difficulty producing timely management, sales and job-costing reports. Seeking a better Excel-based solution, they evaluated alternatives to traditional Excel add-ins and reporting tools.

They implemented Global Software’s Atlas to provide live ERP data access in Excel, centralize reporting and add data validation. Atlas removed disparate static spreadsheets, streamlined report creation and improved accuracy, freeing up about 100–200 hours annually on reporting and an additional 200–300 hours a year through data migration/upload functionality.
