GlobalReach Technology provides the Hotspot 2.0 power for the Wireless Broadband Alliance (WBA)

The Wireless Broadband Alliance engaged GlobalReach Technology to deliver seamless, secure Wi‑Fi and roaming for delegates at its Wi‑Fi Global Congress events. GlobalReach Technology provided its Hotspot 2.0 online sign‑up (OSU) server and cloud‑based Wi‑Fi provisioning platform to enable cellular‑like authentication across multiple venues (San Francisco 2014; San Jose and London 2015).

GlobalReach Technology implemented a one‑time profile download via its Hotspot 2.0 OSU service so devices automatically authenticated and roamed between convention centers, hotels, airports and city hotspots. The deployment supported more than 5,500 individual devices, nearly 90,000 sessions, about 400,000 minutes of use and 260,000 MB of data, with record Hotspot 2.0 usage in San Jose (Oct 2015), demonstrating measurable improvements in seamless connectivity and roaming.
