Etam, the premier French lingerie brand, faced significant cross-border ecommerce hurdles that limited its international potential: prices were shown only in euros, payment options were restricted, shipping was costly and duties weren’t calculated at checkout. To solve this, Etam partnered with Global-e and implemented Global-e’s Smart Cross-Border™ solution to deliver a fully localized shopping experience for international customers.
Global-e enabled local currencies and pricing, multiple local payment methods, guaranteed duties and taxes, localized checkout and competitive shipping and returns; within months Etam’s international online orders rose 77%, revenues grew 91% and conversion rates doubled to an average of 2.63%. Using Global-e, Etam also saw dramatic market-level gains (for example Austria revenue +374%, Germany +151%, USA +103%) and higher AOVs in key regions, quickly turning previously untapped markets into top performers.
