VIVOBAREFOOT, the London-based barefoot footwear brand, faced barriers to scaling international ecommerce: a partially localized shopping experience limited to six currencies, just credit card/PayPal payments, no duties and taxes calculation or prepayment, and costly shipping options. To overcome these cross-border hurdles and expand globally, VIVOBAREFOOT partnered with Global-e.

Global-e implemented its Smart end-to-end solution, enabling localized experiences in 190 destinations (95+ currencies, 25-language checkout), guaranteed duties and taxes with prepayment, multiple local payment methods and improved shipping and returns. Within a year Global-e helped VIVOBAREFOOT boost international orders by 83% and lift revenues (61% growth reported), with standout market gains (e.g., France revenue +141%, Netherlands +112%, Canada revenue +92%) and 73% of international customers prepaying duties and taxes (86% in Canada), driving significant global sales growth.
